A Review of Public Health Guidelines

    How to stay safe:

    • -Stay 2 metres apart when you can
    • -Wear a homemade, non-medical mask, or face covering when in public
    • -Practice good hygiene:  wash your hands, don't touch your face, and cover coughs and sneezes
    • -Monitor your symptoms every day
    • -If you feel sick, stay home, get tested, and follow mandatory isolation requirements while you wait for results
    • -Avoid non-essential travel
    • -Get the flu shot to keep influenza cases low so our health workers can focus on the COVID-19 pandemic
    • -Download Alberta's contact tracing app: ABTraceTogether.  The app is directly integrated into our contract tracing system

    Contact your family doctor:

    • -In addition to being well-versed in COVID-19, your family doctor is familiar with your health and can provide medical support and follow-up after diagnosis
    • -If you receive a positive COVID-19 test, let your family doctor know with a phone call to the clinic
    • -If you do not have a family doctor, please find one you trust.  Ask your friends and family or go to Find-A-Doc.ca
    • -Most family physicians and their teams offer virtual care visits by phone or video when appropriate, and they have specific steps they follow to take good care of you without ever stepping foot into a hospital
