Camrose PCN is pleased to announce that we have agreed to partner with mmHg Inc., a physician-led start-up company whose founders work at the University of Alberta, to pilot a novel blood pressure telemonitoring system (Sphygmo).  Sphygmo is comprised of 2 components: a client-based smartphone app, and a clinician-based web portal.

The Sphygmo system helps users track their blood pressure, either through bluetooth connection (if the monitoring device has bluetooth capabilities) or by manual entry. The app will support users by teaching them the proper way to measure their blood pressure, which provide more accurate readings. The app will show trends in blood pressure and help users and their healthcare team see patterns.

This app is available on the Apple App Store or on Google Play for your smart phone for free. For more information, check out mmHg Inc.'s website.
