    Job Summary & Reporting:

                Reporting to the Camrose PCN Executive Director, this individual is responsible for managing the PCN’s clinical programs and teams in providing evidence-based programs and services that support the vision, mission and business plan of the PCN. The Clinical Director will support team-based care in a hybrid model with staff working in physician clinics, PCN clinics, and a central business office. The Clinical Director will provide oversight with a continuous improvement approach, which is adopted and maintained by the Camrose PCN. This role is a leadership role, which supports both the provincial objectives, as well as the Camrose PCN local priority initiatives with guidance from the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. 

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to short- and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the PCN leadership team;
    • Lead the development of PCN clinical program policies, protocols and procedures based on established evidence and standards of practice;
    • Initiative program development and implementation based on needs, requirements, stakeholder input, and available resources;
    • Develop and implement strategies, processes and operational plans for quality improvement and evaluation measurement;
    • Ensure allocated resources—both human and capital—are utilized effectively, efficiently and appropriately;
    • Oversee the program budget and approve program expenses within authorization limit in collaboration with Executive Director.
    • Liaise with other organizations, agencies and community programs to identify and coordinate programs and services; and
    • Support, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary team.

     

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, public health or equivalents at minimum
    • Master’s degree in healthcare, public health or equivalents preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years in a management role preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years working within primary care preferred
    • Demonstrable knowledge of change management principles is an asset
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
    • Creative approach to problem solving
    • Commitment to person-centered care
